Abstract
This study aims to obtain empirical evidence on the influence of company age, inventory turnover, leverage, and company size on profitability. Profitability is important for companies because it can be used to measure the company's ability and support the company's sustainability. In addition, profitability is also important for investors regarding the importance of paying attention to the financial condition of the company where capital is invested and making investment decisions. The objects in this study are all food and beverage sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2022. Sampling in this study used the purposive sampling method. The data used are secondary data, namely annual reports and company financial reports and are tested using multiple linear regression equations. The results of this study indicate that (1) company age has a significant positive effect on profitability, (2) inventory turnover does not affect profitability, (3) leverage has a significant negative effect on profitability, (4) company size does not affect profitability. Company age, inventory turnover, leverage, and company size have a significant simultaneous effect on profitability.
